To tailor-made) holiday partitions – colors clear ) and sailing jerseys in the Casablanca salon, usually bathed in sunshine.

Bomber jackets will be perfect for spring / summer 2021. And while that may not sound new to you (Bombers? For Spring? Innovative), the truth is that there were several versions of the classic aviator jacket in the SS21 parades that we could count on with two hands. From cropped 70s functional nylon bomber jackets in Gucci to classic high-shine aircraft jackets by Philipp Plein and minimalist cropped bomber jackets in Prada and Hermès, there was a sharpness in the look that felt less maximalist than in previous seasons. (and much better).

4. Go wide or go home

Everyday Outfit Ideas

For SS21, almost all valid menswear designers sent a range of super wide pants. Some, like those from Zegna and Casablanca, were carved in an elegant and modern spirit from Yves Saint Laurent: pleated and draped with a fluidity demonstrating the tailor-made skill of the two aforementioned houses. At Gucci and Hermès, the pants were high-cut and retro, while at MSGM, Dolce & Gabbana and Rick Owens the look was sportier, with cargo pants and sweatpants that made room for two.

5. It’s all about an oversized trench coat

Everyone knows that a trench coat is a spring clip, but in the spring / summer of 2021, the look has been updated with a voluminous touch. At Wooyoungmi, Tod and Loewe, stone and caramel-toned paper trenches had a 1970s flavor, while dusty pink and midnight blue trenches dominated at MSGM, Ermenegildo Zegna and Études, respectively. The key to wearing your own oversized trench coat next season is to pair it with some unexpected accessory. Shorts on the legs and the pool slide on the feet, maybe or if it is nothing but a smile (joke).

6. Wide and bold Bermuda shorts

Bermuda shorts have started to appear more on the world catwalks recently, but for SS21 the style really stands out, with the overall vibe almost exaggerated in its soft summery tones. In Casablanca, MSGM and Zegna, the shorts were made in sea foam, purple and cotton candy tones, while the patterns were by Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci. The key to wearing your own shorts next summer is to pick a pair that ends just above the knee and make a statement with your shoes. Some white running shoes with tubular socks, or a pair of the season’s hardest colored sandals.

On this season’s runways, there was a general mood towards fun and creative shirts, from classic poplin styles cut into lumpy trapezoidal shapes (as in Wooyoungmi and Homme Plissé Issey Miyake) to overall, twisted and generally messy shirts in Dolce. & Gabbana and Hermès. . An eye-catching shirt worn alone or over a cardigan or t-shirt is the easiest way to own it in next summer’s style.

Thanks to Alessandro Michele in Gucci and Hedi Slimane in Céline (not to mention Harry Styles in life in general), there has been a lot of talk about 1970s style growth in recent years. And he has shown no sign of slowing down at men’s fashion shows this season. From the wide range of colorful corduroy pants and flared jeans at Gucci to flocked safari suits in Casablanca and cropped caramel leather bombs (worn with very Starsky open-neck shirts) at Tod’s, we recommend you check out huge aviator curtains so far.

9. Neo-neon

Neon, perhaps not surprisingly, is not the easiest color development to achieve in the world. That said, if you do it right, it can really work. For inspiration, look for some of the biggest Parisian brands this season. On Dior, Kim Jones sent neon-spotted work jackets and neon-yellow jumpsuits in her Amoako Boafo-inspired runway, while Hermès and Homme Plissé Issey Miyake showcased luminous neon parts paired with an understated fit, this is exactly the case; you need to bear this tendency as well.

10. Pastel splashes

We have said it once and we will say it again: Spring cakes really work. And for SS21, it’s easier than ever to grab pastel pieces that you’ll want to use again and again. From cotton candy-toned two-piece suits shown at Gucci and Ermenegildo Zegna to foam-colored knits at Prada (which just looked like homework) next season, if you don’t use dusty pink, Dijon mustard and periwinkle (preferably at the same time), error.
